Did you received any kind of discipline when you were growing up? Did you discipline your kids as they were growing up? Are you trying to decide what kind of discipline you should impart on your kids right now?
I remember getting spanked for building fires and swearing. I remember spanking my son for disobedience. The last time I spanked him was when he was 15. He’s now 50+.
The Bible has something positive to say about discipline.
Heb 12:11 “All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.”
That’s been my experience. That’s been my son’s experience although not right away.
