Isa 55:10-11
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout,
And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 So shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”
This is one of the reasons I joined the Gideons. God guarantees that our ministry will succeed. And it’s so much fun giving away Bibles. In fact, it’s so much fun I can hardly stand it. And it has encouraged me to become more bold in witnessing. You men out there; you could join the Gideons too. Or you could just buy Bibles from any number of sources and start giving them away on your own.
The reason I like these little Gideons “Testaments” (below) is that they explain in the back how to be saved from the lake of fire. In the front they suggest passages that provide help in time of need and help with life’s problems. They also suggest passages that describe Christian character for Godly living in today’s world. They are about a half inch thick and measure 3×5 so they fit nicely in a shirt pocket or purse. I’ve given thousands of these away over the last 20+ years. To date, only about six or seven people have refused to take it when offered.
